A Courageous Girl
Corley Call, a smart and ambitious eighteen-year old girl, has competed in seven successful shows while feeding Honor ® Show Feed. Corley has fed Honor ® for about two years, and she has definitely experienced positive results! Over the past year, Corley has earned a total of $28,500 at two shows. Corley's most recent victory occurred at the 2007 Montgomery County Fair in Conroe, Texas, where she was rewarded for her Grand Champion Goat.
Besides goats, Corley also raises lambs, steers, and pigs. She has shown these animals in many shows throughout the United States. Some include the Denver Western National Livestock Show, the San Antonio Stock Show and the Houston Livestock Show. Although Corley has got a lot of wins under her belt, she says, 'My favorite show was the 2006 Montgomery County Fair when I won Grand Champion for my lamb.'
Even though Corley has a great number of admirable wins, she still appreciates every reward she receives. When asked to describe the feeling of winning $28,500, Corley said, 'I feel very lucky, and it is very rewarding. I am saving all the money I won for college. I am attending school in Texas on a full scholarship for softball!'
Corley's dedication and many years of experience have certainly contributed to her success in the show ring. As she has learned, raising winning animals does not just happen overnight. 'I have been raising these animals and showing them since I was about three years old. It has been fifteen years and I still love it,' she commented.
Corley is a recent high school graduate and is looking forward to her next journey to college this fall. We congratulate her on her wins, and wish her the best of luck on her future endeavors! Corley is certainly one Land O 'Lakes Purina Feeds customer who is going to go far in life.
